My name is Dr. David Barr, and I am an experienced specialist in Adaptive Optics (AO) real-time control (RTC). With a proven track record at the European Southern Observatory, where I was responsible for SPARTA and served as the technical lead for the AO RTC for ERIS, I have consistently pushed the boundaries of AO technology. As one of the creators of Durham University's innovative HARMONI AO real-time control system (DAO), I am passionate about advancing this field. Currently, I am the Head of Software and Real-Time Control at the Centre for Advanced Instrumentation at Durham University, where I lead a skilled AO RTC group.
